“Today’s Plan” December 22

So I might as well be honest and tell you he had a pretty horrible night. He was writhing from nausea, and vomited once. He has been absolutely miserable. He is still miserable. His nurses say the nausea will improve today.  Pray for that pleeeeeease.

Dr Z came in this morning. He is adding Ativan to Donnie’s nausea regime. Donnie finished his chemo, but remains on IV fluids which keep him hydrated (thankfully!!). He has not eaten anything since breakfast on Sunday, due to nausea. He did drink a cup of soup last night…that didn’t stay down long.

Donnie felt really good that day

On a positive note, he has had no short acting pain meds since 5pm Tuesday. This is a big praise, as pain meds add to his constipation. Of course, the BIG praise is that he is not in as much pain.

So, just need to get the nausea under control today. Please, no visitors today. He’s really rough. He will be recovering today.

Much love to our precious family and friends, Tina

Donnie & Tina   Merry Christmas we have you in prayer from Florida to Seattle Washington via Missouri. God is going to work a miracle and He knows we are all praying on one accord

Donnie and Tina,

Praying for the peace that only God can provide.  Prayers for no nausea..no vomiting and only precious moments with those you love most.  Hang tight…hugs..

Continuing to pray for healing for you Donnie and for the people who love you. Tina, if there is anything you need please call us. We will see you soon.

It tears my heart to see this man hurt and be going through so much misery right now. So many look up to you Donnie as I have all of my life and I am so thankful to call you my family. My cousin.. please God place this sweet man in your healing hands and take this bourdon away.
Donnie and Tina I love you…

Praying for a day of peaceful rest and recovery for both of you. His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches you.

I was going to stop by this evening to impart my plan of care for you and to keep you safe and to exceed your expectations, but alas I am a failure. My plan of care is not to be realized, just like at work because…shit happens. Unfortunately it has happened to you, one of the nicest people in the whole world, really. Work is missing…its melody…the melody that only the silverfox provides…not only with his Pandora tunes but with his spirit…the melody that binds the unit together. You are the best. The BEST!!! Get better soon . I will see when you are more up to it…Love you and Tina. Terry/aka fellow Altamonte refugee

Derek and I are thinking of you. Hoping you get to spend Christmas at home. Just wishing blessings on you a thousand fold so your pain diminishes and the chemo works, and you get over the nausea so you can put that brilliant smile back on. May God’s angel’s surround you with their healing songs.

Tina,
I am more of a lurker but please know that you and Donnie are in my thoughts and prayers daily. I know it’s difficult for you to keep us all up to date but know that we so appreciate it. What a blessing that Donnie’s pain is subsiding! My prayer is that you will be home for Christmas and for a complete and total healing for Donnie. I can tell what a special guy he is! Love to you both!

We’re thinking about you & saying LOTS of prayers for Healing. Also praying for you, Tina. We love ya’ll!

Donnie and Tina,

Just wanted to let you know you are in my constant thought and prayers. I will be praying for continued and constant strength, comfort, and healing. I miss and love you guys!

I’m so sorry to hear Donnie had a bad night. Hopefully the updated nausea regime will do the trick. Are you still looking to bring him home tomorrow (Tuesday)? Is there anything Lisa or I can do???

So sorry you are feeling so poorly today Donnie, hopefully that will pass soon. I have wanted to stop by to see you but it seems you are having a lot of visitors and what you need right now is as much rest as you can get. Hopefully you will be home soon. Perhaps when you are home and feeling up to a visit , I can stop by.
Just know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Hang in there!

Tina, Terri sent us your blog. We will be following and praying for Donnie and for you and your entire family. I think of you and your family so often and love receiving your Dad’s annual Christmas letter. Blessings to you and your family from your friends in Oklahoma.

Dad is so special at 88 1/2 years old! So thankful for him!!! Thanks for your note. Pray, pray, pray!

Tina, I am praying for you and Donnie that today is a better day.

I sent the blog info to my parents and David and Janice. When I told Mother about Donnie’s diagnosis, she was so upset.

She had just talked to your dad by phone a couple of weeks ago and was so excited to hear from him.

Thanks for this blog and I am keeping up with you both daily.

Much love and many prayers.

Hope today is a day of rest and recovery from chemo. Praying that the nausea will ease today for you.
On a positive note, it’s a good day to rest anyway….too many clouds in the sky to play outside and the grass is wet from the rain, so no mowing could be done anyway!
