This was the scene this morning . . . Kaia taking care of Pa (with his doo-rag on). He even said to Jeff, “You can take me now Jesus!” Nothing in the world like grandbaby love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially to Donnie 🙂
He was having a good day yesterday, and the beginning of today was very good, then he got sick (vomited violently twice), and now is weak and exhausted. We are at the clinic now getting IV fluids. Dr. Z asked if we thought he needed to be hospitalized. We decided to go home, and get IV fluids again on Monday. Things seem to change in a New York minute with him. Poor guy.
So, I am requesting please no visitors on Saturday. It is his birthday, and Ronnie and Darlene are coming over from Brandon to help take care of him. If you would like to drop off a card, I’ll leave a basket at the front door. I am sorry for that. Just can’t be helped. Trust me, we both wish it was different.
His pain medication was doubled yesterday, which is probably the culprit for the nausea and motion sickness. His pain is better in control which is a blessing. He will get his IV fluids on Monday, and we will go from there.
Please continue to pray for his comfort, and for all of our family who are helping to comfort him. We are so blessed. I wish I could respond to each and everyone of you. You all mean so much to us . . . words cannot express.

There is just no medicine that can touch anyone’s heart as much as the sweet innocent love of a grandchild. I pray daily for Donnie to have some relief from his pain. I know he is surrounded by so many people that love him. Tina you and Donnie are such shining examples of people of strong faith in God. The grace that you are handling such a difficult experience is amazing. Praying for you, Donnie and your whole family every day.
