Beach Day :)

Donnie looks a bit better all the time.  He remains exhausted at times, and then occasionally  he is able to stay awake and engaged for most of the day.  We are trying to get out some, to build his stamina back up.  Rachael’s family (our daughter) took a mini-vacation this week to New Smyrna Beach, and invited us to go.  We figured, worst case scenario, Donnie would be able to sleep in the hotel room.  Actually he was up for the majority of the day at the beach.  Nothing like those grand babies to inspire you to play.  He even threw the football a little with Jared (it exhausted him, but HEY, at least he did it!).  The girls thoroughly enjoyed him playing with them!

We were waiting to get some lab results back to share on the blog, but there was a snafu, and we still don’t have them back.  That is why the delay for the blog.  I finally gave up.

Some people have asked me to let them know the next time Donnie will be singing at church.  He will be singing Easter Sunday, April 5.  He is singing a song that has a very special meaning to him.  It is a song about the resurrection of Christ called “I Will Rise.”  We would like to invite anyone that would like to attend an Easter service to come to our church.  We meet at 10 am at Partin Elementary School, 1500 Twin Rivers Blvd, in Oviedo.  We are non-denominational.  We would love to see you there 🙂

So, when the lab results are available, I’ll give you a better update.  I must say, he looks a little healthier with some sun on his face (and lots of sunblock on that noggin)!  Thank you Lord for these special moments and memories with family!!!
