Nausea rollercoaster continues

Some days start out very good with no nausea, and then all of a sudden, he is nauseated . . . and on the couch or in the bed for the rest of the day and night.  It is a blessing that he is not throwing up, but nausea is simply the PITS!  His nausea seems to be getting slightly better each day, but there could still be a big improvement in that area.  Also, the nausea is depressing, as he has been dealing with it for so long.  Food still does not taste normal either, so it is difficult to be motivated to eat.  He gets nauseated when we cook in the house, as smells really set his nausea off.  He wears a mask when we cook.  It is a challenging time for him.

He goes to the oncology clinic on Tuesday to get his last dose of chemo for this round (round 2).  Nausea is pretty tough after his chemo for a few days.  He is able to get to the clinic in the car without nausea, which is a big blessing.  It is also a big blessing that I am still giving him IV fluids at home every day.  I am sure this helps flush toxins out of his body, as well as hydrate him, since he doesn’t drink like he usually does due to nausea.

Donnie’s tumor markers dropped from 592 on September 1 to 136 in one month. Due to his lack of pain (2 on a scale of 10) and his tumor markers dropping significantly so quickly, we know the chemo is working.  If only it could work without NAUSEA, right??!!

Please pray for RELIEF FROM NAUSEA, and that food would begin to start tasting like food, instead of nothing.  He is such a good patient, trying to eat even when all these factors are at work.

We are so grateful for precious neighbors, bringing homemade soup, chicken salad, and expressing their love for us.  We are so grateful to our precious family and friends for all the cards, calls, help, etc.  We feel so uplifted by you all.  It would be so much harder without your love and concern.  We continue to trust in the Lord and His plan for us.

Love,  Donnie & Tina

Donnie and Tina,

Every morning I wake up, thank the Lord for the new day, and my first thought and prayer following is "please, please, Lord, be with Donnie and Tina on this day, give them strength, help Donnie have a good day"

I love you guys and I will continue to pray, first thing in the morning, and pop prayers through out the day for your comfort and healing Donnie and your strength Tina!  God loves you so much!!!

Therese

Tina I have been praying for you and Donnie to remain strong and continue to fight. I know the Lord is watching out for you both. Also praying for the nausea to get better. I know this has been a tough road for you both and you both deserve a break. Hopefully soon the nausea will improve. God Bless
