The new nausea medication continues to work great for Donnie.  He ate 50% of a normal breakfast, then a snack of peanut butter and crackers, then half a chicken wrap for lunch and a clear Ensure, then peanut butter and crackers for an afternoon snack, then an Ensure for dinner.  That’s so much better than the past 2 weeks.  He was not nauseated all day.  What a huge praise!!!

He also took a shower today, which typically wears him out for about 5 hours.  Today, he was singing in the shower, whistling in the shower, etc.  When he got out I asked him how he was feeling, and his reply was “GREAT!”  WOW! He had so much more energy today (IV fluids are our friend).

He had quite a bit of company today.  Donnie’s Mom and sister Lorraine came over from Brandon, Kevin McFarland (a 1st cousin) came to see him from Jupiter, and of course Beau and I were there.  Donnie was talking up a storm to everyone today.  His color was much improved today.  He was even telling jokes, and being his fun self today.  I truly think it was his “personal best” day since his diagnosis.  I am sooooo glad that he had such a good day.  Of course, that means we all had a good day right along with him!!!!!!!

We will find out the results of his CT scan tomorrow.  We will also see how his new chemo regime affects him.  I am praying hard that they continue to keep his nausea at bay.  His pain is only a 2 on a scale of 10, so that is controlled very well.  Many answers to prayer today.  Amen!

We are thinking we might get to go home Friday.  Not sure yet.  Depends on Dr. Z and Donnie’s response to chemo.  I will let you know on the blog as soon as we find out.  We would rather be home of course.  I’m praying for that, too.
