Happy Easter to all our loved ones . . . or as we like to say . . . Happy Resurrection Day!! Donnie was able to sing on Sunday morning with the praise team at WaterStone Fellowship. Our hearts were opened to the Holy Spirit after worshiping God by singing “My Redeemer Lives,” “We Believe,” and “I Will Rise.” Donnie was able to sing lead vocals for “I Will Rise,” something he has not had the energy to do since his diagnosis. Due to our family being involved in ministries, it is difficult for all of us to be together for a Sunday service, but this Sunday, all our children, my Dad, and Donnie’s entire immediate family were together. God is good!!

We were also honored and touched by close friends and co-workers being able to attend the service. So many kind and encouraging words were said to Donnie. The message by Pastor Mack was a great blessing. It was a beautiful day of worship!
Easter is always a special day for Christians, the day that validates our faith! It is also a special day for families to get together and enjoy each other. This is a McFarland/Sparks tradition. This year, our families got together at our home in Oviedo. There were approximately 30 of us, eating great food, hunting eggs, swimming, and enjoying each other’s company. Of course, the grandbabies make the day EXTRA wonderful!!

After stuffing ourselves with delicious food, some visited while others enjoyed the pool. Donnie was determined to enjoy every minute!

On the medical front, Donnie will begin his 4th round of chemo on Tuesday, April 7th. He will get chemo dosing on Tuesdays for 3 weeks, then we will be having a CT scan to evaluate the disease. We will keep you posted on any new developments.
Please pray for Donnie’s continued pain control and lack of nausea. This has been a HUGE praise, and we do not take it for granted. Please pray for the efficacy of his treatment, and the doctors and nurses in charge of his therapy. Please pray for others to be brought close to the Lord through these trials of Donnie’s life.
Much love, Donnie & Tina
