It’s a beautiful day!

Still having good days.  Still no nausea.  Still eating better.  Still able to get out of the house for short periods of time.  Still taking long naps in the afternoon.  It is such an encouraging time.  We are both relieved for this time of comfort . . . what everyone has been praying to our Lord for on our behalf.  We are so grateful for this specific answer to prayer!  It’s an absolute game changer!

Today we had a great breakfast at IHOP.  We ran into dear friends there, Tim and Colleen.  What a gift.  We even had a belly laugh at ourselves trying to take a selfie in the parking lot with them.  We must have taken 10 pictures wrong (clustered pictures, timed pictures, couldn’t take the picture, couldn’t press the right button . . . REALLY!).  It was great to laugh at ourselves, and Donnie was a part of it.  We just LOVE them!!

How many nurses does it take to take a selfie?????  Aparently at least FIVE!!!!

Then we came home and Donnie rested.  I actually had the time (and energy) to mow the lawn and edge (good yard therapy for me!!), while Jeff Nelson came over and cleaned our pool filter and cleaned out our gutters.  He’s a great “cabana boy”!! I really don’t know what we would do without our friends and family!  There is no way Donnie has the energy to do any of that, so it is wonderful when others help and are so glad to do it!!!

This evening we chilled out watching a movie, and then dear friends visited:  Wes and Julie Teel, and the surprise of the night, their daughter Kristin (such a beautiful woman and mother!!).  So wonderful to see dear friends!!  Words really cannot express how special it is to catch up, and show beautiful pictures of our grandbabies to each other 🙂

Please pray for improved appetite and weight gain for Donnie, and continued control of pain and nausea.  He continues to have a positive attitude, and is at peace with whatever plan God has in store for him.  His attitude gives me peace, too.  So thankful for his faith in God to see him through this.

Hi you guys, so glad to see that Donnie’s feeling better and y’all are making the most of it. And I loved the “sporty new BMW” birthday gift. Couldn’t have gone to a more deserving Lady. But . . . . I’m gonna have to go with Dosey and the corvette at the the race track though. Let me know how that works out for ya!

We’ll get in touch with you guys again soon. Would so much enjoy sitting in on one of those impromptu McConcerts. Thats a lot of musical talent for one place at one time. Much love to you both, you guys are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Talk to ya soon.

So awesome to read about all the answers to prayers. Praying you both continue to have such blessed days.

We’re so glad to hear Donnie is not feeling nauseous.   We pray that he gets some more strength back, so that you can do some of the things you want to!  Thinking of you each day.  Sending lots of Love your Way!

It truely was our pleasure to see you today. I have been wanting to see Donnie since the day you shared his diagnosis but I have to admit I was hesitant because I didnt want to cry when I visited and I knew I would if I came over. I am a big sappy mess.

So what a great suprise it was to see you and spend an awesome morning catching up with two of our favorite people (no lie). We aspire to be even half of what you two are in life, to others, and to eachother. One of my favorite moments today was just watching the Donnie looked at you Tina. Even when you were saying your new car could beat his Vet! Can’t wait for the race!!! Lol

Love you both to pieces.

P.S. Tim can mow your lawn next time.
