Lots of wonderful visitors today!

Today started out rough.  Donnie got up early, started recording some DVR shows on our TV, and got motion sickness from scrolling through shows.  When he vomits, it really takes lots of energy, and drains him.  It is frustrating for him.  Once he recovered from that, he had an amazing day of fun!

Several “old work buddies” from the ICU at Florida Hospital Altamonte came to visit Donnie:  Greg Bowen, Al Morgan and Tim Adams.  They brought him a special shirt, and all his old buddies from 5 years ago in the ICU had signed it . . . even people that have now moved to other Florida Hospital facilities.  HOW NICE!  He was thrilled to read every name on that shirt.  Thanks for “showing the love”! It made Donnie feel very special.  They had a great time “shootin the bull” and tellin lies!!

Then his baby brother Rodger walked through the door.  He spent the day with “the Goob”, talking, laughing, and then actually napping together.  We even had a jam session with Rodge on his Taylor guitar (he is awesome), and Wendy (my sister) and I on the piano . . . jammin to Eagles songs.  Donnie even joined in singing with Rodge . . . something he has not done since he was diagnosed.  It was a very special and happy day for Donnie.

Wendy and Robin (Wendy’s husband) were here helping me take our Christmas decorations down today.  Good grief!!!!  So much harder without my Donnie helping me, and singing songs with wrong lyrics!! I really missed him today.  He makes everything more fun.

So, tomorrow we talk with Dr. Z, and find out if Donnie gets his new chemo tomorrow.  I will give you an update as soon as I can.  Please pray for wisdom as we move forward.  We are so thankful for your love and concern as it holds us up when things are tough.
