Today was a good morning. Then we got in the car to go to the oncology clinic to get IV fluids, and he vomited violently in the parking lot at the clinic. I feel it is motion sickness from his morphine. His pain is being managed very well, which causes him to have some nausea all the time. They are looking into home health for his hydration in the future, as the trip to the clinic is always very hard on him. When he gets sick like that, it just drains the energy right out of him. He will feel better after his IV fluids.
Wednesday is his new chemo regime. Please pray for minimal side effects, especially nausea and vomiting. He said he would rather be in pain (I’m not sure about that one).
On a happy note, his Momma came to see him yesterday, which always gives him peace and great comfort. You can see that in his face!!

Constantly praying for you both. We love you guys
Tina. Please ask the doctor to try Donnie on dilaudid great pain control and a lot less nausea and vomiting if any at all. I haven’t used morphine in my practice of anesthesia in years for that very reason. I give all my patients dilaudid after surgery never morphine. Also have they tried zofran q 6 hours for vomiting. It can be given IV via his port. Milt Taylor
