I love you all for praying for my D! It makes ALL the difference!
Donnie had his PET scan today. Jeff came over from St. Augustine to help us. It went perfectly, and he did not have a “claustrophobia event” in the scanner, which is a big praise. A little Ativan will do ya!! We also pre-medicated him with his anti-nausea medications so he would not get motion sickness in the car (all due to his pain medications), and that worked great. No nausea. YAY!! Will get the written results and disc of the PET scan tomorrow.
While at the PET scan, I called Dr. Zehngebot. I left a message that I was concerned about the large amount of pain medication Donnie was requiring, and could we possibly move his chemo appointment up this week. His P.A., Rochelle, who we adore, called and said there was just no way to move him up. I was disappointed. At 4:30 pm, Rochelle called back, and said Dr. Z wants to admit Donnie to Winter Park tomorrow, and he can start his chemo then. I am beyond happy!! So thankful for medical providers that listen to their patients, and care!!! Praise the Lord!
I can’t wait for Donnie to start his chemo, as it will help his pain. So crazy to be hoping for chemo. UGH. Of course, he is still his positive, non-complaining self. What a guy!!!! Herb Long called him today to encourage him 🙂 Michael and Diana Bryan will be helping me take Donnie to the hospital tomorrow morning. We simply love our family and friends, and feel so undeservedly loved!!
