I know it might be hard for you to fathom, but Donnie is doing really poorly really fast. Friday and Friday night were pretty tough on Donnie. Lots of rapidly increasing pain. Up to 60 mg extended release morphine, and taking hydrocodone as needed (10 mg at least 3-4 times a day). Nauseated, and taking the “nausea concoction” Dr. Z ordered for him in January (so grateful we still have the pills at home). Not feeling like eating much of anything at all.
Thought we might be going to the hospital last night if we could not get his pain under control at home. He finally went to sleep, and slept well, but still in pain if he is awake at all. Such a rapid deterioration. I am so sad for him (and all of us that love him). He is such a good fighter!! He never complains, and is such a tough cookie. Will be talking to Dr. Z sometime today for a game plan. Donnie is scheduled for his PET scan on Monday and chemo on Friday.
Please pray for Donnie. Pray for pain and nausea control. Our family prayed for Donnie last night, and God heard our prayers and honored them. Pray for me to keep it together . . . to give Donnie the strength, support, and help with good decisions that he needs. Thank you for your prayers!!

Uncle Donnie my heart breaks to know that you are going through this again. It's just not fair. I struggle to comprehend why God can't heal you of all this pain and sickness you've endured. I know there are some things I will just never understand in life and this is one of them, but I do have faith and pray to God everyday for grace of healing among you.
