Sometimes a picture says a thousand words!! Sophia, our 2 year old granddaughter, looks like she just got all the good news about Pa (Donnie) at the clinic today:
1) He weighs 168 pounds (a gain of 3 pounds this week), 2) His cancer markers are down from 218 three weeks ago to 44 today (0-35 is normal range for people without cancer), 3) His white cell count, red cell count and platelets are good (so he does not require medications or blood products to improve them), 4) Dr Z lowered the dose of Abraxane significantly, as it is working so well (this will help diminish future side effects), and 5) Donnie is feeling good most of the time (no pain or nausea), he just gets tired a lot.
WOW!!!! That is really lots of good news. He is encouraged, Dr Z and our wonderful nurses are pleased, and of course, I am jumping in the air with glee!! We cherish all the good days!!
Donnie’s color continues to improve everyday, along with noticeable weight gain in his face, and more white hair growing on his head 🙂 Thanks be to the Lord who has chosen to allow prayer and medical intervention to be effective for him. We are so grateful for all the answers to prayer. There are so many it is overwhelming!!!! With tears of joy, I humbly thank all the prayer warriors sending requests to God on Donnie’s behalf.
