Best day since September 1

Keep praying . . . nausea is showing improvement.  Donnie had 2 good days in a row without nausea.  Yesterday (Thursday), he was sitting up on the couch, laughing at things on FaceBook that some of his silly friends post, and having energy in his voice and in the way he carries himself.  You know what I mean.  Just positive body language.  He’s even started saying some “frisky” things, which makes both of us laugh.  It’s so great to laugh with him!!!!!!!

After eating grilled chicken, greens and cornbread, and potato casserole for lunch, he rested a bit on the couch, just watching TV and interacting with his phone.  Around 4 pm, we went to Target to pick up a couple of Christmas gifts (he helped pick them out), and Donnie picked out a Christmas card for a dear friend of his that has had a pretty rough year (about 13 admissions to ICU).  Reaching out to others is good for the soul!

Then, off to Outback for dinner to eat a 10 ounce ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli.  He ate it all.  WOW.  That was a pretty huge meal.  It’s really wonderful when he is not nauseated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We are so happy about this improvement.

Loving thanks to all of you who pray for Donnie.  Please keep praying for NO nausea, and for improved strength (strong like bull!!).  I am praying for good family memories with him over the holidays.  God continues to amaze us . . . keeping Donnie here on this earth with us!  It has been great that Donnie has been able to enjoy the best part of his life . . . his faith in God and his love of family.

Isiah 40:31  They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles . . .

Hope you all will be enjoying your families and friends over the holidays, and remembering how the birth of Jesus changed the world forever.  Such love is incomprehensible.  Thank you Lord for loving us unconditionally.

Love,  Donnie & Tina
