Have you ever thought of your family as the people you always want to have fun with?? Well, we are blessed with that on all sides of our families! Here are a few more examples of enjoyable days for Donnie:
On Wednesday Donnie and I took Dad to the National Cemetery where my Mom is at rest. Such a beautiful, respectful place. We all miss her, especially Daddy.
When we came home, we went by Oviedo on the Park, where there is a memorial to the citizens of Oviedo that have served in the armed forces. A dear friend of ours submitted Donnie’s information, and we found him on the wall there for the first time. It was very honoring and special!
Saturday kicked off the weekend right with Sophia’s 3rd birthday celebration (Rachael’s 2nd child). She is a character, and we all love her bunches! A “FROZEN” birthday at a very hot Friendship Park . . . lol 🙂
After the party, off to Brandon to see the “Bros”. Rodger has been planning a “MACK-ssacre” for a couple of months, and it finally got to happen. I don’t even need to say anything . . . you can tell it was a BLAST for them!! 4 hours worth of blowing up the world with all that HEAT! #bestshootingdayeverwithmybrothers!!
Then, Sunday evening Lorraine (Donnie’s sister) graduated with her bachelor degree in theology. The Mac’s together again, including great food . . . there is always great food when we get together. It’s part of who we are, right??!!
Donnie continues to gain strength, preparing for his surgery next week. Please pray that there is no metastatic disease, and the tail of the pancreas is able to be removed. God tells us to “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7. We pray, and accept God’s will for our lives. We are so grateful for our precious family and friends that have prayed RELENTLESSLY for us. You build us up and give us strength.
