Donnie got his chemo last Friday, and Saturday he started having more breakthrough pain and more nausea.  We have increased his morphine extended release to 30 mg twice a day, and we have added his dexamethasone back to his nausea regime.  Today is 4 days after chemo, and he is better adjusted.  His appetite remains good, so he eats 3 meals a day, plus a few snacks (including his favorite candy . . . orange slices).  The best news for the week is that he weighs 163 pounds today (not losing weight).  It makes me feel good that he is maintaining his weight . . . so he can fight like a MAC!!

Donnie’s sister, Lorraine, was in El Salvador on a mission trip recently, ministering and preaching to the women of the country that have been abused in many ways.  The entire mission team prayed for Donnie, which was very touching.  Lorraine was so kind as to share a picture of that moment.  So special for Donnie!!

Sunday a very special niece came to visit us all the way from Brandon.  She made us all laugh (she is pretty giggly herself!!), and there was great reminiscing all around, especially since Ronnie and Darlene were here, too.  She is another proud ICU nurse, and a little “shop talk” was going on.  We missed you Cynthia (her sister)!

As you know, we love to eat breakfast at IHOP in Oviedo.  Kimmie and Joe (the owners) treat us like gold.  Kimmie took a few pics of us this week and made this little montage of us!!  She is very special to us (Joe, too!)!

 Keep praying for Donnie’s healing, for God’s will in his life, for weight gain, and for manageable or minimal side effects from his chemo.  We are humbled and blessed by our friends and family praying for him!!!!  xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
